Where friends become family

SSC
SSC
Spud State Cares

Many adults with special needs struggle finding a place to make friends and be themselves. Spud State Cares not only provides the space with our community center, we also host fun events so everyone can get to know one another. We also assist special needs individuals with financial difficulties.

We invite participants of all ages to attend a free formal dance with a DJ, photo booth, lunch and party favors. It is a great time of dancing and laughter!

Jared H.

I have been here for over five years, and Spud State Cares has given me opportunities to be a positive role model for my peers and people in the community! It has become my home away from home.

My favorite activity is karaoke and the outings we get to do in the community. Karaoke has helped me feel more comfortable being myself in front of a large group.

Kason D.

I have been here for one year and I feel like it is a good place for disabled people to come and do activities and meet people.

My favorite activity at the center is karaoke and I love the games we play. It is also fun to go into the community with people that I feel comfortable with.
